Evaluation of dating sites or applications
Are you lost in the number of dating sites and want to avoid wasting your time, energy and motivation on the wrong site?
Or have you had bad experiences with one site and would like to know which sites are more serious?
Here are some feedbacks I received from my existing clients to help you to choose.
Tinder: mass application
Tinder is easy to access; there is, of course, a free version and it is an app on which you meet people freely.
The match is mainly based on photos and geolocation, which makes its main flaw mentioned by my clients. There is also the aspect of quantity over quality, this fast-food lust of matches and lack of follow-up and response. They also mentioned that many men are more interested in one-night stands than real relationships, the presence of many fake profiles, which implies a lot of settling to do.
Advantages clearly states the spontaneous and pressure-free side of the app.
Other applications similar to Tinder, mentioned by my clients, are Badoo and of course Meetic which is well known in the french part of Switzerland, but has lost its quality.
Parship: for a more serious research
It is one of the best known dating sites in Switzerland. The biggest advantage is the stimulation of the registered clients willing to start a long-lasting relationship and also the targeted and sharp questionnaire allowing to match profiles with similar interests or compatible personalities.
The only down side would be the lack of surprise as knowing so much in advance about the other partner could “spoil” the discovery phase.
Another well-known site in Switzerland is b2, in German-speaking Switzerland Elite Partner, which claims to attract quality people.
Bumble: the woman chooses, and not only to meet the man of her life.
It’s my clients’ favourite dating site because women take the first step, men seem to be more serious about dating and the app also offers nearby events or activities that allow clients to broaden their network of friends and therefore not necessarily target only romantic experiences.
Two of my clients met their soul mates there .
Another promising application, Okcupid opt for meet-ups based on your passions rather than your physical looks. Perhaps still too little known in Switzerland or provincial towns in France. On the other hand, if you live in Paris or another big international city, the feedback I got is cultural interesting and international people meet, especially because the application is only available in English.
Innercircle was also mentioned to me. The only advantage I see is the verification of the profile so there is little chance for fake profiles.
Once
Once is a slow dating app that shows you one match per day based on your passion and emotional profile. There are other apps that try to offer better matching than just photo or interest: Facebook Dating shows you profiles with common interest (and I guess who belongs to your extended friend circle), Happn uses geotagging to show match and Zooks does matching based on your behavior and at Canditate users get to know each other through a question-answer game.
Green lovers
If ecology or veganism are important values to you, you can connect with like-minded singles with the green lovers app.
Single 50+
If you’re 50 or older, the step of signing up for a dating site can seem intimidating. The Singles 50 app lets you decide who you want to show your photos to, and you can make a video call before meeting the person for real. Only available in french or german though.

This is far more important than the choice of dating site.
If registering on the right site is important, what is even more important is to work on your inner positioning, i.e. to take stock of your beliefs about love, to define what you want in love. Look at this article where I give you my advice on how to seduce online.
That’s what I propose in my 4-week THE LOVE ASSESSMENT online program.
