And that&#8217;s going to change over the course of their relationship.<\/p>\r\n<p>Myself after 9 years as a couple and my job as a love coach, I am not 100% certain of this, because it is a balance which, in my opinion, is constantly redefining itself as each partner and the couple evolve.<\/p>\r\n<p>Imagine how much you&#8217;ve changed in 10 years. Et cela va m\u00eame changer au cours de leur relation.(regarde <a href=\"https:\/\/sandykaufmann.ch\/fr\/les-stades-dune-relation-amoureuse\/\">cet article<\/a> si tu veux en savoir plus sur les stades d&#8217;une relation.)\n\nMoi-m\u00eame apr\u00e8s 9 ans de relation en couple et mon m\u00e9tier de coach en amour, je n&#8217;ai pas cette certitude \u00e0 100%, car c&#8217;est un \u00e9quilibre qui, selon moi, se red\u00e9finit sans cesse, au fur et \u00e0 mesure des \u00e9volutions de chacun des partenaires et du couple.\n\nImagine comme tu as pu changer en 10 ann\u00e9es de vie. This is typically the area of the brain that is activated when you are doing personal development.<\/p>\r\n<p>In other words <strong>love begins with a feeling and ends up being a choice.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>It is therefore normal to see a change in the couple&#8217;s passion after several years together, because there is this return to normal hormones.<\/p>\r\n<p>Dawn Maslar nevertheless describes two phenomena that occur in parallel with this brain change:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>The use of the prefrontal cortex will diminish our sense of attraction towards other people.<\/li>\r\n<li>Mirror neurons allow us to benefit even more quickly from our spouse&#8217;s experience, in the sense that we learn more quickly what he knows how to do, because he has already acquired this skill and we are often in contact with him.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Be clear on the role of the couple<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>I hope that the description of the physiological evolution of the feeling of love will give you a more realistic expectation of the role of the couple in your life.<\/p>\r\n<p>For me the couple remains and will remain only a part of your life, in the sense that the couple is for me two independent and fulfilled individuals in their respective lives, who decide to share the bonus of the couple, that is to say this icing on the cake (sharing your life with someone you love) and not the whole cake.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>And so this means two things: first of all, the first of your missions is to continue to develop yourself personally, independently of your life as a couple.<\/p>\r\n<p>And that of two you can take advantage of this icing on the cake, which is the couple, for your own personal development.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>Once the couple is committed to the long-term, it becomes for me a tool for personal development in the sense that it is within the couple, in this zone of security and love, that the wounds of each partner&#8217;s past will resurface. The couple becomes the unique opportunity to settle what was not resolved in the first home where we experienced this security (or not), our parents.<\/p>\r\n<p>Crises often occur when there is a change in the degree of dependence on the other partner at the structural level (e.g. with the arrival of children), at the financial level (e.g. when the spouse loses his or her job), at the emotional level (e.g. if one spouse loses a loved one), at the physical level (e.g. if one spouse becomes ill).<\/p>\r\n<p>And so staying in a couple finally becomes a choice to go to the end of your personal development, because in the end changing partners will not necessarily help you to solve the problem, you will experience the same problem simply with another person.<\/p>\r\n<p>Of course, up to a point. Here quality prevails over quantity. How much time do you dedicate to your partner to have a good time and not just to divide the tasks?<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Give priority to your couple<\/strong>. When the couple is not doing well, it is a natural reaction to take care of themselves in a different way, with other activities (going out, sport, seeing friends) to escape the crisis. But when you want to get through this crisis, you also need to invest time and sometimes reduce your investment in certain personal activities to devote more time to your couple.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Nurturing the relationship<\/strong> with gestures of care and love.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Accepting that the other has an evolutionary rhythm<\/strong> different from his or her own, which may mean that the crisis lasts longer and that a way must be found to &#8220;wait&#8221; until the other person has done his or her part of personal development.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Stay positive<\/strong> in the relationship<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Continue to have projects together<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Making a conscious decision to admire your partner<\/strong> by focusing on what he does right. Not easy when you&#8217;re in the middle of a crisis.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Continue to realize yourself outside of your relationship.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>At this level of the relationship, each partner becomes the expert in his or her own couple, because you are in the best position to understand what it takes for you to flourish.
