That&#8217;s a comment I hear a lot in coaching. When we dig deeper, the client often realizes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>That she always goes out <strong>to the same places<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>With the <strong>same people<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Without an open attitude conducive to meeting someone.<\/strong> If you think meeting someone is hard, you&#8217;ll inevitably experience it that way when meeting people \u2014 I talk about it in <a href=\"https:\/\/sandykaufmann.ch\/fr\/109-rencontrer-quelquun-pourquoi-c-est-si-difficile\/\">episode 109 Why Is Meeting Someone So Hard?<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In this episode I&#8217;m going to get more hands-on and practical to multiply your opportunities to meet people in real life.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Widen_Your_Circle_of_Friends\"><\/span><strong>Widen Your Circle of Friends<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As you get older, your friends may go out less because they&#8217;re in a relationship or have children.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>simplest way is to widen your circle of friends by meeting new people<\/strong>, because your new friends will know other people, and maybe one of them will become the lucky one.<\/p>\n<p>You can, for example, <strong>tap into your existing network of friends and integrate into their wider circles of friends<\/strong> (at work, sports, etc.) or <strong>reconnect with people you&#8217;ve lost touch with<\/strong> via LinkedIn or Facebook\/Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>You can <strong>make new friends<\/strong> (I&#8217;ll go into detail on this in episode 126). The app <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meetup.com\/fr-FR\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meetup<\/a> or the site <a href=\"https:\/\/www.internations.org\/s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Internations<\/a>, for example, group activities by city and offer an easy way to meet new people.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Become_a_Regular_at_Your_Favorite_Cafe\"><\/span>Become a Regular at Your Favorite Caf\u00e9<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A very simple way is to <strong>become a regular at your favorite shop, caf\u00e9, or restaurant<\/strong>. After a while, the staff and other regulars will get to know you, and it might become easier for you to go out alone there or to talk to someone, because you&#8217;re on familiar ground.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Do_an_Activity_Youre_Passionate_About\"><\/span><strong>Do an Activity You&#8217;re Passionate About<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Did you want to learn to play tennis, start skiing, learn a language, or travel to a particular country?<\/p>\n<p>Sign up for classes or a club and you&#8217;ll inevitably meet new people, with the advantage <strong>that they share the same interests as you<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The app <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gotcourts.com\/en_EU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gotcourt<\/a>, for example, lets you find a tennis partner in your area.<\/p>\n<p>For running, there&#8217;s the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adidas.ch\/fr\/adidasrunners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">adidas runners group<\/a>, which organizes free training sessions worldwide.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blablalanguageexchange.com\/find-your-blabla-event\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blabla language exchange<\/a> lets you do a language tandem.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scig.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">international ski club<\/a> in Geneva organizes ski outings every weekend.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Take_Part_in_Single-Only_Activities\"><\/span>Take Part <strong>in Single-Only Activities<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Many dating sites organize singles nights, for example <a href=\"https:\/\/singlelounge.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Single Lounge<\/a>, and there are activities reserved for singles, such as cooking classes like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooknflirt.ch\/singles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cook n Flirt<\/a>, or speed or silent dating.<\/p>\n<p>The advantage here is that you&#8217;re sure the person is available and looking for a relationship, which spares you approaching someone who&#8217;s already taken.<\/p>\n<p>You can also go on vacations for singles. For example, there are <a href=\"https:\/\/sporttrip.ch\/im-winter\/skiurlaub-fuer-singles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ski vacations<\/a> for singles, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/copinesdevoyage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel girlfriends<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/les.aventureurs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the adventurers in mixed version<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucpa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ucpa<\/a> for other sports.<\/p>\n<p>If you go to these events with a friend, make the effort to talk to new people.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Boost_Your_Professional_Networking\"><\/span><strong>Boost Your Professional Networking<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>By developing your professional network, you also meet new people and grow your social circle.<\/p>\n<p>In Switzerland there are plenty of networks like <a href=\"https:\/\/bni.swiss\/fr-CH\/index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BNI<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/genuinewomen.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Genuine Women<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/pwg-zh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PWG<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenshub.de\/en\/events-zurich\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Women Hub<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.impacthub.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Impact Hub<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/creativemornings.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Creative Mornings<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Volunteer\"><\/span><strong>Volunteer<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>By helping others you can bring
